Our Approach

Alpine Spine Surgery is dedicated to the evaluation and management of disorders and injuries to the adult cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. In addition Dr. Van Buskirk has advanced specialized training in scoliosis reconstructive surgery. Located in two convenient locations, downtown Boulder and Lafayette, Alpine Spine Center offers comprehensive spine care in a private and personalized setting. We strive to deliver individualized, multi-disciplinary care to our patients from the time of the initial evaluation and diagnosis, to treatment and recovery.

When possible, the most conservative, non-surgical approach is utilized. This may involve physical therapy and rehabilitation, diagnostic and therapeutic injections, or other nonsurgical treatment methods. We will review with all of our patients on an individual basis the absolute indications for spine surgery with a thorough explanation using anatomic models as well as radiographic studies. When surgery is needed, Alpine Spine Center utilizes established, safe and effective treatment methods, employing the latest techniques and advanced technologies to minimize the invasiveness of surgery.

Most of our procedures, patients are back in the comforts of their own home, the very same day!
